⚠️ California Proposition 65 Warning – Quartz & Stone Products
Cutting, grinding, drilling, polishing, or fabricating quartz or engineered stone products may generate respirable crystalline silica (silica) dust.
Inhaling silica dust can cause serious health hazards including silicosis and may increase the risk of cancer. The State of California requires this warning under Proposition 65 for exposures to chemicals known to cause cancer and/or reproductive harm.
Safety Recommendations:
- Use wet cutting methods whenever possible.
- Use local exhaust ventilation and HEPA dust collection systems.
- Wear NIOSH-approved respiratory protection.
- Fabrication should be performed by trained professionals following OSHA regulations.
